Quality time

As I continue to build my relationship with my dear old horse Saifur (a 29-year old Icelandic horse I adopted 3 years ago), it's nice to see him stay with me even though I've brought him back into the herd after our time together. This wasn't always the case, as I usually spent time with my other two horses first and then Saifur, which somehow never felt good to me. However, since I've changed my routine and often spend time with him first instead of the other horses, Saifur seems to notice and shows it by wanting to be with me even more. I love this little guy with the big heart ❤️

With people, it is no different. Even if you do not change what you are doing with the person, but instead change the quality of the time you spend together, that person will pick up on this subtle shift, and it will positively influence your relationship. It can be as subtle as giving the person your full attention and allowing a genuine connection to develop, instead of simply doing something out of obligation without truly being present.
